Guwahati, Jan 15 (UNI) Assam health minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma today said that the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the state will take place in phased manner.
Mr Sarma said that in the first phase doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ambulance drivers, cleaning staff will be vaccinated.
He also said that the the recipient's body will develop immunity against coronavirus only after 45 days of receiving the shot.
