Guwahati, Apr 19 (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today said that if COVID-19 infection rise in Assam, lockdown will be imposed in the State.
“If COVID-19 infection in Assam rise at a fast pace, for the welfare of the people, lockdown will be imposed in the State,” Mr Sonowal said after chairing a COVID-19 review meeting in Guwahati with officials in the state.
On the other hand, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the State Government at present is not planning to impose lockdown.
