Itanagar, Nov 8 (UNI) As many as 64 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in
Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 15389, while two more deaths
pushed the fatalities toll to 45.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS)
last night, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported 15, Lower Dibang Valley 13,
Shi Yomi 12, East Siang eight, Upper Siang four, Changlang three, West Siang,
Tirap and Leparada two each, West Kameng, Anjaw and Longding one each.
A 58-year-old man, hailing from Ziro under Lower Subansiri district, died on
Saturday (1100 hours) at DCH-Chimpu here. He was suffering from chronic kidney
disease and was on dialysis with Covid-19 infection. He died due to uremic
encephalopathy with respiratory distress, it said.
According to the bulletin, a 55-year-old man from Likabali under Lower Siang district,
expired on Friday (2322 hours) at DCH-Chimpu. He had hypertension and diabetes
mellitus with Covid-19 infection and died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
On a positive note, 106 patients were discharged following their recovery from the
virus. Total recoveries stood at 13785 while active cases at 1559.
