Itanagar, Oct 24 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 fatalities toll rose to 33 following the death of a 55-year-old patient.
As per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), a 55-year-old Covid-19 patient expired on Friday at DCHC, Aalo in West Siang district. He was detected positive through rapid antigen test done on October 19.
Respiratory failure, a chronic alcoholic with liver disease, anaemia and Covid-19 positive were the cause of death, it said.
According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, the state also recorded 68 fresh cases of infections, taking the caseload to 14145.
Out of the new positive cases, 18 reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), 11 from Lohit, nine from Upper Siang, three each from Tirap, Changlang and Siang, two each from Papum Pare, West Siang and East Siang, one each from Tawang, Shi-Yomi, Namsai, Longding and Leparada, it said.
On the other hand, the number of recoveries rose to 11613 as 206 patients were discharged.
Active cases stand at 2499.
