Arunachal continues to witness spike in Covid-19 cases, tally mounts to 13643

Itanagar, Oct 20 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness spike in Covid-19 cases with detection of 238 fresh infections, taking the state's caseload to 13643.
On the other hand, 228 patients are discharged, taking the total recoveries to 10780. Active cases stand at 2833. Thirty fatalities recorded so far.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of the new Covid-19 cases, 40 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), 39 from Lohit, 32 from East Siang, 29 from West Siang, 17 from Siang, 14 from Changlang, 12 from Tirap, 11 from Upper Subansiri and 10 from West Kameng.
Seven cases were also reported from Upper Siang, five each from Namsai and Lower Subansiri, four from Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), three each from Pakke Kessang and Tawang, two each from Longding, Papum Pare and Leparada, and one from Kurung Kumey, it said.
As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, barring 49, all the cases are asymptomatic.
