Andaman gearing up for vaccination of children between 15-18 years

Port Blair, Dec 30 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Administration is gearing up for the vaccination of children between 15-18 years of age and booster dose for all health care workers, front line workers and persons above 60 years of age with co-morbid conditions.
As per sources, a video conference was organised under the chairmanship of Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) of the central government, which was attended by the Commissioner-Cum-Secretary (Health), Secretary (Health) and other senior health department officials.
During the video conference, it was revealed that children between 15 to 18 years age will be vaccinated with COVAXIN with effect from January 3, 2022 for which online registration will commence from January 1, 2022 onwards. Further, onsite registration will be done at all the COVID Vaccination centers as was done earlier on the day of vaccination. For the purpose of calculation of age, the child must have been born on or before December 31, 2007.
