Arunachal CM launches ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign

Itanagar, Aug 2 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign at the State Civil Secretariat here. He also engaged himself briefly in selling the National Tricolour to the officials of the Civil Secretariat at its majestic Zen Garden amid patriotic fervour.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said this year we are celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence - ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to mark the occasion, citizens of the country are encouraged to hoist the Tiranga at their homes from August 13 to 15.
Lauding the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat Employees Association for organizing the launch of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and the sale of National Flags, Khandu said merely buying the flag isn’t the purpose, but one must own it to accord the highest respect and honour.
