Manipur CM appeals to mitigate climate change

Imphal, June 19 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday appealed to mitigate climate change and check global warming .
He was speaking during a flag off function of an E rickshaw roadshow organised by E-Rickshaw Worker’s Union Manipur, from Kangla . The road show aimed to make Imphal City free from hazardous emission, particulate matter and all forms of pollutants and mitigate climate change and global warming.
Biren stressed the need for voluntary involvement of everyone in conserving the environment by planting trees and using e-vehicles among others.

All 15 candidates for two LS seats clear scrutiny

Itanagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Altogether, 168 nominations filed for the upcoming Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were found to be valid after scrutiny of papers on Thursday, while the process of scrutinising nominations against Itanagar and Daporijo constituencies has been adjourned till Friday, the results of which would be out by 11 a.m., an election official said.
