People have no faith in Communists, Congress: Tripura CM

Agartala, June 26 (UNI) After being declared winner from the Bardowali Assembly constituency on Sunday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said the BJP won three of the four seats in the by-elections as people no longer have any faith In the CPI-M and the Congress.
“In Agartala constituency, the BJP candidate lost by a margin of only 3169 votes and it clearly indicated the friendship of Communists and the Congress. It is evident, Sudip Roybarman won because of the CPI-M transferred its votes in his favour,” Saha said.
Saha said he was always certain of his victory.
"I know the people of Tripura including a large number of CPI-M supporters, are happy with the Narendra Modi led (central) government. I was made CM before I was elected as an MLA – really it’s a unique feeling. In next assembly elections, the BJP will win the seats which are now with the opposition.”
“I am having four responsibilities now – I am the Chief Minister, I am the President of the party's state unit, I am an MP of the Rajya Sabha and I have now become an MLA from the city. I am overwhelmed with the peoples’ trust bestowed upon me. I shall do my best in the next six-seven months time,” Saha started.
Tripura is set to hold the Assembly polls early next year.
