32.82 percent polling till 1 PM in Bihar

Patna, Nov 03 (UNI) An estimated 32.82 per cent voters exercised their franchise still 1 PM during second phase of polling in Bihar Assembly Elections in 94 constituencies.
Sources of the office of Chief Electoral officer, said that 32.82 per cent voters had exercised their franchise till 1PM during second phase of polling.
Maximum polling of 41.25 percent was reported in Muzaffarpur district while minimum polling of 26.73 per cent was reported in Darbhanga district, sources added.
As per the information made available by office of the Chief Electoral Officer, 39.43 per cent electorate exercised their franchise in West Champaran, 30.79 in East Champaran, 29.75 in Sheohar, 33.28 in Sitamarhi, 30.7 9 in Madhubani, 26.73 in Darbhanga, 41.25 in Muzaffarpur and 33.05 in Gopalganj district. Similarly, 29.89 per cent electorate exercised their franchise in Siwan, 29.88 in Saran and 32.97 in Vaishali district.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad after casting his vote here said that people of Bihar wanted peace, development and prosperity.
The NDA government for the last 15 years in Bihar, had accelerated the pace of development and succeeded in maintaining rule of law in the state, he added.
"People of Bihar would not fall into the trap of RJD again," Mr Prasad said adding that they had not forgotten the jungleraj that prevailed for 15 years since 1990.
The NDA was all set to form the government with absolute majority, he further added.
Hindi film actor and former MP Shatrughan Sinha whose son Luv Sinha is contesting from Bankipur seat on Congress ticket, said after casting his vote that change of regime was certain after the ongoing Assembly elections.
People had made up their minds for change of regime as they were fed up with the poor performance of Nitish Kumar government, he added.
