JD(U) reposed confidence in women, fields 22 women candidates

Patna, Oct 07 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who is known for launching women empowerment oriented various schemes, again reposed his confidence in the wining capacity of women and has given chance to 22 women candidates in the ensuing Bihar assembly election from his party, Janata Dal ( U).
The number of women candidates fielded by JD(U) is more than double the number it had fielded in the last assembly elections in 2015.
The women candidates trying their luck in the electoral battle are from Kesariya- Ms Shalini Mishra, Bajpatti- Ms Ranju Geeta, Belsand- Sunita Singh Chauhan, Babubarhi- Ms Meena Kamat, Phulparas-Sheela Mandal, Triveniganj(SC)-Veena Bharati, Araria-Shagufta Azim, Rupauli-Beema Bharati, Dhamdaha-Lesi Singh, Ziradei-Kamla Kushwaha, Ekma-Sita Devi, Manjhi-Madhavi Singh, Mahua-Aasman Pravin, Samastipur-Ashwamedh Devi, Cheriya Bariyarpur-Kumari Manju Verma, Alauli - Sadhna Sada, Khagaria- Punam Devi Yadav, Masaurhi(SC)-Nutan Paswan, Jagdishpur-Kusum Lata Kushwaha, Dumraon - Anjum Ara, Atri- Manorma Devi, Govindpur-Purnima Yadav.
