Congress promises for Rs 1500 monthly DA, assures to waive off farmer's loans

Patna, Oct 21 (UNI) Congress Party, a constituent unit of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led the Grand Alliance today announced to waive off the farmer's loan and promised to give Rs 1500 monthly dearness allowance after coming to power in Bihar.
Accompanied by Senior leaders of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, in charge of party affairs in Bihar Shakti Singh Gohil and senior leader Raj Babbar today released the party's manifesto in the name of "Charter of Transformation".
On this occasion, Mr Surjewala said that the NDA government of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal-United (JD U) failed to provide employment.
Speaking about law and order scenario of the state he said that new records have been created in Bihar where crime against women was increasing continuously.
He said the existing system of health scenario was exposed during a covid-19 pandemic in the state where education was in shambles and Agriculture was reeling under crisis.
Referring to the manifesto of his party Mr Surjewala said that after coming to power Congress will not only waive off the farmer's loan but would also move a proposal in the first session of the state assembly for waiving off the three acts implemented in the name of Agricultural reforms.
He further said that the farmers with up to 2 acres of land will be given financial assistance under Rajiv Gandhi agriculture nyaay yojana.
In its Manifesto, the Congress has promised to appoint 242000 teachers within 18 months of coming to power and announced to enhance the old-age pension from Rs 400 to Rs 800.
He said that the old people above 80 years of age will be given a pension of Rs 1000.
Apart from announcing free education to the girls the Congress also assured to give scooty to the girl students securing more than 90pc marks in class 12.
Mr Gohil on this occasion said that the Congress party after coming to power would try to improve the quality of life of every person in the state.
Congress MP Akhilesh Singh, Tariq Anwar, party secretary Ajay Kapoor, Subodh Kant Sahay, MLC Premchand Mishra and several other leaders were also present at the time of the release of the manifesto.
