Mamata calls for moving Supreme Court for postponing NEET and JEE; TMC Ministers also take strong exception to holding of exam

Kolkata, Aug 26 (UNI) As West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday urged all her counterparts to move the Supreme Court together for postponing NEET and JEE, her Ministers in the Trinamool Congress Government also took strong exception to the Centre's decision to go ahead with the examinations amidst the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation.
State Higher Education Minister and party secretary-general Partha Chatterjee tweeted, " @MamataOfficial's requests have fallen on deaf ears, clearly. "
"@BJP4India led govt's decision to go ahead with NEET & JEE amidst the pandemic situation, which is still not under complete control, is not only unfair for our students but also heavily challenging! #JEE_NEETcanWAIT," Chatterjee noted.
