Odisha to spend over Rs 205 cr this fiscal on arms, high tech equipment and training for fighting disaster

Bhubaneswar, Oct 14 (UNI) Odisha government will spend around Rs 205 crore during the current year to strengthen the disaster fighting arms of the State with hi-tech equipments and innovative training and capacity building.
A high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy today sanctioned an additional amount of around Rs 55.22 crore taking the total sanction to Rs205 .21 crore for the current year to strengthen the disaster fighting with high tech equipments and training.
The funds will be utilised for procurement of high-tech collapsed structure search and rescue (CSSR) equipments and quick deponent antenna (QDA) for ODRAF and Fire Service Units; and, the instruments for disaster management training cell.
