Tripura University to set up first business incubation centre

Agartala, Oct 21 (UNI) The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises has selected Tripura (Central) University for setting up a business incubation centre to promote new ideas of self-reliance under Atmanirbhar Bharat, said Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain here today.
The incubation centre would be the first of its kind in Tripura where incubatees will be mentored for commercial viability and lab to the market mechanism. This would also assist the young entrepreneurs of the state to set up their businesses thus contributing to the start-up ecosystem of the state.
“At present, the entire nation is striving hard up to embrace a multitude of activities to contribute to the development of new India. To propagate the mission of Self-reliant India, Tripura University established its first Business Incubator funded by the Ministry of MSME with grant of Rs 15 lakh to incubate under Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial development for New India Challenge 2020,” Prof Prasain stated.
