Tripura CM presents state's development plan in NITI Aayog meet

Agartala, Aug 8 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has stressed self-sufficiency in agriculture, improvement of education, urban planning and degradation of basic amenities for the state's people while addressing the 7th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog.
Dr. Saha said for providing food safety, nutritional security, improving soil health and socio-economic status of the farmers, his government has been working on a three-year plan set to conclude next year to bring diversification in 50,000 hectares with Maize and Blackgram.
The government has given emphasis on the adoption of newly released hybrid and high-yielding varieties, cluster cultivation, extending irrigation facilities, mechanization and processing support, capacity building of the farmers and digitalisation of agriculture.
