Meghalaya CM inaugurates renovated Tura Hall

Tura (Meghalaya), June 13 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma inaugurated the recently renovated and upgraded Tura District Auditorium here in West Garo Hills district on Monday in the presence of Member of Parliament, Tura Parliamentary Constituency, Agatha K Sangma.
Sangma also unveiled the plaque for laying the foundation stone for construction, including the improvement of Tura town internal roads funded by the New Development Bank (NDB).
Reminding that the said Tura Auditorium was constructed by former Lok Sabha Speaker and his father late Purno Agitok Sangma and that it has not been repaired for more than 30 years, Sangma said that when his government came to power in 2018, he had sanctioned Rs 3 crore at the beginning and additional Rs 2 crore later for completing the renovation works.
