Sikkim observes NSS Day: CM wants youth to make Sikkim vibrant

Gangtok, Sep 24 (UNI) Sikkim observed National Service Scheme (NSS) Day on Thursday.
"Sikkim has 16300 volunteers in the state from schools, colleges and universities. The young students are delivering selfless services with a motto “Not me But you”. I am happy to know that in the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic, NSS has been involved in making sanitizers, masks, creating mass awareness through various platforms," said Chief Minister P S Tamang.
Greeting what he described as the most valuable human resource in the country, the Youth. The NSS Day observed under the theme Youth Empowerment saw Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs K N Lepcha address a webinar for the concerned volunteers and teachers. He was accompanied by departmental secretary Kuber Bhandari and Doma Tsering in-charge NSS Sikkim.
