Dhankhar and Mamata pay tributes to Indian Army on Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kolkata, Jul 26 (UNI) The Kargil Vijay Diwas was today celebrated with pomp and gaiety across West Bengal to offer tributes to Indian soldiers' triumph over Pakistan in Kargil sector in 1999 as state Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid their highest tributes.
The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil conflict, was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control where India regained possession of Kargil.
