Vigilance sleuths recover nearly Rs 12 lakh from a SE and two officers of Pollution Control Board

Bhubaneswar, Oct 09 (UNI) The sleuths of the Vigilance department today recovered Rs 10.05 lakh from the possession of Baitarani Irrigation Division Salapada, Keonjhar Superintendenting Engineer Bidhan Chandra Sahu.
Official sources said the vigilance officials intercepted him near Panikoili while he was proceeding to Cuttack. Mr Sahu could not account for the money.
Vigilance officials suspect that the money was ill gotten and started examining him. Searches were also launched at his office and residence.
