Forest officials seals four saw mills

Kendrapada, Sept 15- (uni) The forest personnel of Kanika forest Range led by its Ranger, Manas Kumar Das have sealed four saw mills operating illegally in Rajkanika block and seized machineries and logs worth over Rs 20 lakh.
Mr Das said acting on a tip off a forest team of Rajkanika forest Range conducted raids at four different saw mills in Rajkanika block yesterday and seized machineries like stand saws, bend saws , saw blades worth Rs 20 lakh and Sagan logs worth Rs 60,000.
The forest personnel sealed three saw mills in Kandia area and another in Bhamanda area of Rajkanika block .

Kolkata, Apr 20 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has suspended two police officers of OC rank in West Bengal. Those suspended are officers-in charge of Saktipur and Beldanga police stations in Murshidabad district. They failed to contain violence on April 17 in their respective jurisdiction.

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Despite best efforts made by Election Commission and appeals from top leaders and celebrities, poll percentage in first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar could reach only 48.23 per cent, which is 5.24 per cent less than polling of 2019 general elections in the state.
