BJP youth members attack Congress office, Congress files complain

Imphal, July 28 (UNI) A team of BJP youth wing led by BYJM Manipur president M Barish Sharma burnt effigies of Congress leaders and attacked the Congress office on Thursday.
They shouted slogans and allegedly threatened Congress workers. Immediately after the incident Congress workers congregated and marched towards City Police station to register an FIR. A video of the incident went viral in which the BJP youth members were seen shouting and threatening Congress workers.
S. Jeeten, Gen Secretary of the Congress said in the complain that a team of BJP youth members led by its President Barish Sharma and some other members came in a violent manner and forcibly entered the official premise of Congress Bhavan in Imphal, wherein they indulged in criminal trespassing, house trespassing, criminal intimidation, intentionally breaking public peace, destruction of properties and using dangerous means, including fire, to cause grievous hurt by vandalizing the office and also forcibly making an attempt to burn down the Congress office in Imphal.
