Jharkhand: Toddler dies after father flings him to ground

Godda, Jun 21 (UNI) A man hurled his 17-month-old son under the influence of liquor, killing him instantly, at Pahadpur village under Sundarpahadi Police Station area of this district.
The accused Daud Malto was later thrashed by the villagers and handed him over to police.
Police said that Daud had gone to market where he had consumed liqour and forgot to buy the chocolate, his son Ritesh had asked him for.
When he reached home, his son started crying asking for the chocolate, which angered Malto. In his drunken state, he hurled the child to the ground repeatedly, killing the toddler on the spot.
Neighbours said Daud had married a girl while working in Hyderabad and had come back to the village with his family during lockdown.
The couple had frequent fights and one day his left him for good leaving the child behind.
The grand parents of the boy were taking care of the toddler.
