Seven including a woman arrested with 1.18 quintals of opium husk in Palamu

Daltonganj, Oct 10 (UNI) A team of Tarhasi Police has arrested seven members of an inter-state smuggling gang along with 1.18 quintals of opium husk in Palamu district.
Among the arrested, there was also a woman while a smuggler from Uttar Pradesh identified as Chandan Gupta was also arrested.
Police said that a tip off was received that huge quantity of opium husk was being smuggled to Aurangabad district of Bihar after which a vehicle checking drive was launched on Tarhasi-Padma main road under Lesligunj SDPO Anup Kumar Badaik.
