20 smugglers held, 960 cattle heads rescued by BSF

Guwahati, Jul 14 (UNI) As many as 20 smugglers were apprehended and 960 cattle heads rescued by troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) in the last week while these were being smuggled to Bangladesh.
The smuggling was being done through different locations of border districts of Dhubri, and South Salmara of Assam, and Coochbehar of West Bengal.
An amount of Rs 61,77,652 was also seized during the period, a BSF release informed here today.
