A priest and a criminal murdered in Darbhanga

Darbhanga, Oct 14 ( UNI) The chief priest of Kuldevi Kankaali Man Temple Rajiv Kumar Jha alias Antu was shot dead by some criminals and in retaliation the local people caught the criminals and lynched one of them on the spot this morning.
Senior Police Superintendent Babu Ram said here today that the criminals fired at the priest sleeping in the temple located in Rambagh locality and a devotee Chiranjeevi Jha alias Shambhu sleeping along with the priest sustained injuries in the shootout. The injured devotee was undergoing treatment at hospital in the town.
He said that the local people chased and caught three criminals fleeing after committing the crime.The villagers beat them up and in due course one of the criminal identified as Pulkit Singh died on the spot. The other two criminals who were injured have been admitted at the hospital.
