CBI grills TMC leader Anubrata for nearly four hours in cattle smuggling case

Kolkata, May 19 (UNI) The CBI, probing the multi-crore rupees cattle trafficking scam, on Thursday questioned West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal for nearly four hours after the politician deposed before the anti-corruption wing official at Nizam Palace in the city, official sources said.
After emerging from the CBI office in south Kolkata, the strongman of Birbhum district and a close lieutenant of chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Mondal was seen walking with the support of his two aides and moved inside a parked car and was driven straight to nearby SSKM hospital.
Sources said he was first seen at the Emergency department then taken to the Woodburn Ward of the hospital, where high profile politicians are treated in the government owned hospital.It was not immediately known if the Birbhum district's TMC president will be admitted or to be discharged after a medical check up by the specialists.
