Bengal: Man dies after hot liquid poured on him during a drunken brawl

Krishnagar, Jul 11 (UNI) The body of a 54-year-old man was recovered from the bushes in Panchpota area under Chakdah police station in Nadia district.
The deceased has been identified as Asim Das.
According to family sources, Asim left home Friday morning with Rs 20,000 and did not return for a long time.
In the evening, his body was found lying in the bushes near a hotel, one kilometer from his house.
Local people alleged that the hotel had turned into a liquor hub where drinking sessions continued unrestricted.
It is being suspected that Asim was killed in the hotel after some people poured hot liquid, apparently oil or water, on him during a drunken brawl, and threw his boy in the bushes.
After spotting the body, the locals informed the Chakdah police station, after which cops arrived and recovered the body.
Based on an FIR, police has arrested three people, including the owner of the hotel.
Further probe is on.
