Andaman places order for 3.6 lakhs doses of vaccines from Serum Institute of India

Port Blair, Apr 28 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Administration on Wednesday said that orders have been placed for 3.6 lakh vaccine doses from Serum Institute of India (SII) which has to be delivered within next two months for starting inoculating people of age group 18 to 44 years.

Addressing media persons today the Secretary of Information, Publicity and Tourism of Andaman and Nicobar Administration said that out of these 3.6 lakh doses, 1 lakh doses of vaccines have been requested on immediate basis so that inoculation drive for the people of age group 18 to 44 years could be started from 1st May 2021.
