North East officers discuss improving delivery system

Gangtok, Oct 29 (UNI) Roles and responsibilities of officers and ways of improving the delivery system to benefit the public were among the issues discussed at a conference convened by the All India Federation of North East Civil/ Administrative Service Association on Saturday.
The meeting held at Tashiling Secretariat here saw participation from all eight north-eastern states.
Association President J Chakravorty reminded the officers about their roles and responsibilities."Civil Service officers are the fulcra of the state administrative system and are instrumental in creating policies, and at the same time implementing those effectively," said Chakravorty.
