Itanagar, Sep 21 (UNI) The ‘Swarnim Vijay Mashaal’ commemorating the 50th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war was today taken to forwardmost areas in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh bordering China, Defence sources said.
The Vijay Mashaal, which was lit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the eternal flame of the National War Memorial in New Delhi on December 16 last year, reached Tawang on Monday.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, currently on an official tour to his hometown Tawang, also attended the celebration of Swarnim Vijay Mashaal.
