Shillong, Jul 9 (UNI) The Meghalaya Cabinet on Thursday approved the setting up of two single window committees for speedy clearance of mega projects, keeping in view the National Games, 2022 that the State has been entrusted with to host.
“For the mega infrastructure projects for the National Games, 2022, we felt that because the necessary technical and financial approvals take extra time sometimes, we felt the need for single window committees when it comes to administrative issues and technical issues,” Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma told reporters.
He said the approval for simplifying the procedures for clearance of financial and technical approval for mega projects and infrastructures for the National Games 2022 that are above Rs 50 crore.
