Preference for pre-owned cars is rising both for first-time purchases and upgrades

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) With the market demand reviving across tier 1 and tier 2 cities, the used-car platform Spinny has seen rising demand across multiple cities, including Kolkata.
For the six months from January to June 2021, Spinny has witnessed a 236 per cent increase in sales across India compared to the same period in 2020 – the respective figures being 7,800 and 3,300.
Out of the total cars sold from January 2020 to June 2021, 20,000-plus pre-owned vehicle transactions took place across India. Meanwhile, in 2020, the total sales stood at 9,100-plus cars.
