Odisha has a loan burden of Rs 97,205.03 crore- Niranjan Pujari

Bhubaneswar, Aug 1 (UNI) Odisha has a total loan burden of Rs 97,205.03 crore and the per capita loan burden was Rs 22,042 by the end of the 2021-22 financial year, Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari told the state Assembly on Monday.
Replying to a question of Prafulla Samal (BJD), the Minister said the state government has planned to borrow Rs 25,589 crore and repay Rs 14,001.31 crore during the current financial year, (2022-2023).
He said the state has targeted to collect Rs 163,966.52 crore revenue including Rs 46,000 crore towards its own tax revenue and Rs 48,200 crore towards its own non-tax revenue.

Shillong, Oct 5 (UNI) Durga Puja festival culminated on a safe and peaceful note in Meghalaya on Wednesday with the immersion of the idols of the Mother Goddess and her entourage were immersed by devotees in rivers across the state on Vijaya Dashami with heavy hearts, yet amid festive fervor and joy.
A total of 257 Community Durga Puja and five private Durga Puja were performed in Meghalaya this year, which included 126 in Khasi Hills, 11 in Jaintia Hills and 120 in Garo Hills districts.
