Mizoram Assembly to hold two-day monsoon session

Aizawl, Aug 1 (UNI) TheMizoram legislative assembly will hold a two-day monsoon session from August 20, sources in the assembly secretariat said on Thursday.
The Business advisory committee (BAC) held a meeting on Thursday chaired by speaker Lalbiakzama.
“There is only one government bill received by the assembly secretariat so far, so only two day-session is being contemplated. However, the BAC can sit again and extend the session if the need arises,” the officials said.

Imphal, July 19 (UNI) The Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) has launched an indefinite bandh in Naga-inhabited foothill areas of Manipur from today, protesting the alleged unauthorized construction of roads, the presence of Kuki militants’ camps under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, and widespread poppy cultivation in the region.
