Tripura Cong launched 72 hrs long stir against state govt for it’s failure

Agartala, July 19 (UNI) The sit-in demonstration of the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress continued on Tuesday for the second consecutive day of a three-day long agitation that began on Monday here seeking employment for the youths, fulfilling the poll promises of BJP led government in the state and nine other demands.
Raising allegations of massive corruption in the recent recruitment in various government departments including Tripura State Rifles (TSR), Youth Congress president Rakhu Das demanded an investigation by a sitting High Court Chief judge.
He expressed resentment over the role of police in maintaining law and order and added that police have become a puppet in the hands of the ruling party.
