Imphal, Aug 20 (UNI): Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen today announced that the funds for National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) were transferred to the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer using PFMS.
Nemcha said a sum of Rs 4,97,74,000 was released by the Ministry of Rural Development of India as first installment of financial assistance for April to June 2020-21 under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) for payment of pension benefit/financial assistance to the beneficiaries of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme(IGNOAPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) and National Family Benefit Scheme under National Social Assistance Programme.
Altogether, 61,770 beneficiaries will be receiving the pension amount for the durations of October, 2019 to December, 2019 in their respective bank accounts, including 55,160 beneficiaries for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme(IGNOAPS), 5355 beneficiariesfor Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme(IGNWPS), 911 beneficiaries for Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme(IGNDPS) and 344 beneficiaries for National Family Benefit Scheme (2020-21).
