Minister inspects MGNREGA works, orders punishment of all wrongdoers

Imphal, Sep 1 (UNI) Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh today inspected the works taken up under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act at the Konthoujam Gram Panchayat.
The minister was given a report of the works and he announced actions against all those found guilty of wrongdoings.
The minister said a video was seen in social media about MGNREGA so he decided to make a surprise visit to the Konthoujam Assembly Constituency Gram Panchayat. In the video, a woman from Konthoujam Makha Leikai ward no 5 claimed that she had to work alone for four man-days.
