West Bengal: Amid rising Covid cases, GTA to consider lockdown extension

Kolkata, Aug 04 (UNI) Amid the rising cases of Coronavirus, Gorkha Tribal Administration (GTA) has decided to consider extension of the ongoing lockdown and sort the support of common people, business establishments and traders in containing the infection spread.
"We will think about lockdown extension. I request people and business persons to help us control positive cases. I also request them not to come out of their houses unless necessary," said GTA Chairman Anit Thapa in Kurseong today.
Mr Thapa attended a meeting with the officials of local administration, municipality, SP, DM, CMOS and SDMO of Kurseong on the increasing Covid positive case in the town.
