Irrigation facilities for every plot if voted to power after Election : Nitish

Pàtna, Aug 26 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said providing irrigation facilities for every plot in the state was not merely his dream and it would definitely turn into reality if he was voted to power for next term after Assembly Elections.
Mr Kumar, after laying foundation stones and launching of various schemes worth Rs 1,470 Crores of Water Resources Development Department through video conferencing, said that irrigation facilities for only 2,65,000 hectares of land were created in 15 years of RJD regime from 1990 to 2005 but such facilities were created for 4,06,000 hectares of land in 15 years since 2005 when his government was voted to power in Bihar. Old irrigation facilities which had become ineffective and inoperational over the period were revived for 17,25,000 hectares of land during the tenure of his government, he added.
" Providing irrigation facilities for every plot in Bihar is not merely my dream and it would be definitely turned into realities if voted to power for next term after assembly elections", Chief Minister said adding that his government had succeeded in executing various projects as per its schedule despite facing the challenges of floods and Corona pandemic. After Jharkhand was carved out as separate state, 73 per cent area of Bihar was flood prone, he pointed out while listing the difficulties in completing various development projects in the state.
