COVID-19 pandemic may become challenge in future : Nitish

Patna Sep 7 (UNI) In view of the increase in the activities and participation of people in the festivals and in the coming Assembly Elections, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday directed the conerned authorities to remain alert and said that decline in the cases of coronavirus infection does not mean that the pandemic has ended but a more challenging time is ahead.
While reviewing the scenario of C0VID 19 in the state, Mr Kumar directed for conducting maximum tests and suggested the authorities to remain updated over C0VID 19.
He said that keeping in mind the challenges due to pandemic he asked the officials for minute assessment of the situation at grass root level.

Shillong, Oct 22 (UNI) Meghalaya registered one more COVID-19 related death taking the number fatalities due to the disease to 78 and 99 fresh cases on Thursday, taking active cases to 1,661, while 307 more patients also recovered from the viral infection bringing the number of recovered cases in the State to 6,981.
