Patna, July 3 (UNI) Reiterating his commitment to end the land related disputes, Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar directed the authorities to complete the land survey being conducted in the state by July next year to decide the ownership of lands.
While distributing the appointment letters to the newly appointed people in revenue and land reforms department, Kumar said here on Wednesday that of the total murder cases being registered 60 percent were related to the land disputes as the territory and the ownership of the land has not been decided.
To end such disputes, his government began the land survey, Nitish said, adding that aerial photography was taken up in 2013.
The Chief Minister said he wishes the people to live peacefully and amicably for which the land related disputes need to be resolved at the earliest.
He asked the newly appointed people to work with zeal and enthusiasm to complete the land survey at the stipulated time.
Kumar also asked the district magistrates and the Ministers incharge of various districts to monitor the survey work.
Earlier appointment letters were distributed among 9,888 candidates including 353 special survey assistant settlement officers, 758 special survey kannongos, 742 special special survey clerks and 8035 special survey ameens.
