Kolkata, Jul 20 (UNI) The West Bengal Government today announced complete lockdown twice a week across the state following an alarming spike in Covid cases, particularly in Kolkata and its
adjacent districts.
State Home Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay told reporters at state secretariat Nabanna that the government decided to enforce complete lockdown on Thursday and Saturday across this week to combat the spread of the pandemic, which has already claimed over 1,112 lives in Bengal, 36 of them on Sunday.
