248 people fined for not wearing masks, 8 for spitting

Itanagar, Sep 17 (UNI) A total of 248 people were fined Rs 500 each for not wearing masks and eight Rs 200 each for spitting at public places between September 14 to16 during checking drive by the authorities in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).
As many as 56 people were fined Rs 500 each on Wednesday for not wearing masks during the checking drive conducted by OC Nirjuli Minli Geyi at Nirjuli area and SI G Tape at Naharlagun area of the ICR, an official statement said.
Five people were also caught spitting in public and fined Rs 200 each.
