Provide blood to everyone who needs it as a lifesaving measure: Arunachal Guv to officials

Itanagar, Sep 6 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Tuesday called upon the health practitioners and officials of the department to work in a mission mode to ensure that every person in need of blood receives it as a life-saving measure, a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said.
“No expecting mother or person on the operation table should suffer due to lack of blood,” said the Governor while interacting with a group of medical professionals at the Raj Bhavan here.
He also emphasised that there must be adequate facilities for the collection and preservation of blood in the district hospitals of the State. He appealed to the concerned people to create public awareness regarding blood donation, which, he said, is a noble practice and a benevolent act.
