Rivers maintaining their receding trend in Bihar

Patna, Aug 12 (UNI) Amid grim flood situation, the rivers in North Bihar were maintaining receding trend following decline in the rainfall in their catchment areas.
According to Central Water Commission, Budhi Gandak and Bagmati rivers continue to flow above the danger mark at three measurement stations each, Adhwara group of rivers and Kosi river were above the red mark at two stations each while Gandak, Kamla and Parman rivers were above the red mark at one station each when water level was last recorded.
According to the commission, the water level of river Budhi Gandak was flowing from 68 cm to 227 cm above danger mark at various places in Samastipur and Khagaria, Gandak was flowing 94 cm above the red mark in Gopalganj.
