Class 10 student run over by speeding truck in Chatra

Chatra, Sep 30 (UNI) A student of Standard 10 was run over by a speeding truck in Pansalwa on the Chatra-Bagra main road under Sadar Police Station area of this district on Thursday.

The people managed to catch the truck driver and thrashed him who was later rescued by the police and taken to the police station. Later the body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.

Miffed over the incident the people blocked the traffic movement of NH-99 Chatra-Gaya main road. Despite the incessant rainfall people remained on the road. The BDO and CO of the area along with police team from Sadar Police Station pacified the agitators after which they relented.

Due to the agitation the traffic movement on the NH remained affected for three hours.
