Abu Dubai, Nov 3 (UNI) Afghanistan have won the toss and have opted to field against India in the Super 12 group-stage match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup here on Wednesday.
India has made two changes from the last game against New Zealand. Suryakumar Yadav comes in after recovering from back spasm and Ravichandran Ashwin gets a chance in place of spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who is suffered a minor injury.
Ishan Kishan, who was sent to open with KL Rahul against the Kiwis, has been rested.
Afghanistan are going into the match bereft of Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.
Team India captain Virat Kohli, after losing the toss, said the situation is a tricky one for India, but there's still a chance.
"The team has not played up to potential, but there is a need to brush that aside," he said adding that, "He would have bowled first, but it is not a bad thing against Afghanistan who look to put up runs on the board, ' Kohli said.
Afghanistan captain Mohammed Nabi said in the last game there was a lot of dew in the second half and hence he opted to field first.
"We always prepare for both, but today we will bowl first because of dew. We will play normal cricket and go and enjoy," Nabi said.
