Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) Former Australia pacer Brett Lee has picked youngsters Devdutt Padikkal and Rahul Tewatia as his favourite performers who have impressed him the most in the IPL 2020, which concluded on Tuesday.
Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Padikkal played every match for his franchise and did well with bat and became an integral part of the side.
Playing his maiden IPL edition, the left-handed batsman scored 473 runs including five fifties and 124.8 SR in 15 games and got the Emerging player of the tournament award.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Tewatia was one of the biggest finds of the season. He was a standout performer for the side as he scored 255 runs and bagged 10 wickets in 14 matches.
Speaking on Star Sports show Cricket Live, Lee said that the best part of this IPL has been the young Indian players coming through.
"It has been incredible. It has been hard with no fans, but to me, the best part of this season has been the young Indian players coming through.
The Devdutt Padikkals, the Tewatias and the emergence of, we have seen the Delhi Capitals play some really good cricket, so, I will say the fast bowlers too, but I will always say the fast bowlers," he said.
On the same show, West Indies batting legend Brian Lara also talked about what has been his favourite moment of the IPL 2020.
