Sydney, Aug 22 (UNI) After losing his white ball vice-captaincy to teammate Pat Cummins wicket-keeper batsman Alex Carey admitted on Saturday he felt disappointed, but understands traditional leadership structure.
Carey and Pat Cummins were two vice-captains for Australia's limited-overs teams since that leadership structure was implemented under then new coach Justin Langer in 2018.
Skipper Aaron Finch last week revealed the team would be reverting to a more "streamlined" leadership process and Pat Cummins will now be the sole deputy after Carey was removed from the job.
